It's been a decently lucky day. Went to the Gardai and didn't have to wait, since any month but September does not suffer the influx of students that require queuing from 6:30am. yesterday TWO passports arrived in the mail! they apparently needed the first one as "citizenship evidence" and returned it when they were done with it. This whole process would have caused me so much less grief if they could have managed to impart that to me at the start. Somehow in the past month or so, my passport got scratched, so my birthdate shows up as 14 _____ 985. I went to the American embassy today to see about getting a new one and the woman I talked to said they'd need to take it away because it's damaged. Also, I don't have photos for a new passport.
